Ready, set, decorate! Enter in the 2024 Rooster Rush Decorating Contest to show off your Fall storefront & for your chance to win the traveling trophy! Enter by emailing: mpanzer@pierre.org. We will stop by your storefront at the scheduled time to take a photo with Rudy, and use that photo as the voting photo! Be sure to wear orange that week to celebrate 2024 Rooster Rush Week!! Voting will take place on the Pierre Area Chamber of Commerce Facebook page! Voting will be counter by LIKES on original post photo ONLY. It will be FREE to vote. Beware of scams, we will not ask for payment information to vote! Registration: Now until Thursday, October 10th at 5 PM. Photos: Monday, October 14 - Tuesday, October 15. Voting: Wednesday, October 16 - Friday, October 18th Until Noon.

Meet and Greet with the crew of the USS Pierre LCS-38
Crew members of the USS Pierre are going to be in town this week and are doing a Meet and Greet at the Post 8 American Legion Cabin on Wednesday night at 6 PM. Members of the public of all ages are welcome at the event where they will hear about the USS Pierre and the duties it's crew performs. People will also be ask questions of the crew. This will be a fun and informative event for anyone that is interested in learning about this new combat ship and the men and women that will be representing our community!
