The South Dakota Prairie Arts Showcase, hosted by First Lady Linda Daugaard, will be held Saturday, October 22 at the Best Western Ramkota Hotel & Conference Center in Pierre. The 32 artists will show their work in conjunction with the Governor's Annual Invitational Pheasant Hunt. Items included in the exhibition include a panoply of styles and media, with representatives of fiber art, jewelry, glass, photography, pottery, sculptures, wood products and paintings in acrylic, oil and watercolor. The South Dakota Prairie Arts Showcase exhibit will be free to the public Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and all works will be available for purchase at the time.
