2nd Annual South Dakota Kite Day
The Pierre Elk's Lodge #1953 is sponsoring the 2nd Annual South Dakota Kite Day on June 12, 2013 at Hilger's Gulch in Pierre, South Dakota from 1:00pm CDT to 4:00pm CDT.
This FREE event is possible from a grant the National Elk's Foundation and the Pierre Elk's Lodge #1953.
This event is open to all children up to 14 years of age. The first 400 children will receive a free kite and a lesson on how to fly the kite properly. Pierre Elk's Lodge members will be on hand to assist with handing out the kites, offering assistance in putting them together and getting them into flight. We will be encouraging parents to get involved as well.
