7th Annual SD Kite Day

The Seventh annual South Dakota Kite Day is Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Hilger’s Gulch in Pierre, South Dakota. The Seventh Annual South Dakota Kite Day is being held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Central Daylight Time and is sponsored by Pierre Elks Lodge Number 1953. Children, ages 14 and under, are encouraged to attend. The first 400 children will receive a free kite and a lesson on how to properly fly the kite. Elk’s members will be available to hand out kites, offer assistance in putting them together and getting them to fly. Parents also are encouraged to get involved. There is no registration fee. But children are encouraged to register by going to the Elks’ Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/PierreSDElks/ Kite Day is possible with financial support from the National Elk’s Foundation and the Pierre Elk’s Lodge #1953.
