The Pierre Area Chamber of Commerce Agri-Interest Committee is planning its annual Ag Tour on Wednesday, August 1, 2018. The purpose of this tour is to continue to recognize the importance of agriculture in our local economy and regional heritage. The tour will take local residents and business people by bus from the Pierre Area Chamber of Commerce to the Rilling’s farm where they grow their produce. Dinner will be provided on location by Richie Z’s Brickhouse BBQ & Grill.
As a third-generation produce grower, Mark has brought innovation to the family business. From subsurface irrigation, utilizing bee hives for pollination and avoiding herbicides, the Rilling’s family takes great pride in their produce. Unlike most South Dakota farmers, the Rilling’s sell their harvest at their locally owned store, as well as wholesale them out-of-state and within.

Bus will begin loading at 5:00 p.m. at the Pierre Area Chamber of Commerce (800 W. Dakota Ave.).
Bus will depart at 5:30 p.m. & return to the Chamber after the tour.
