Capital Tour Volunteer Signup

The buses are coming! The buses are coming! School buses are coming to Pierre, and they are bringing with them students who will tour the Capitol and Cultural Heritage Center. People can help students better appreciate the history of the statehouse and the state by leading them on tours through the Capitol and the Cultural Heritage Center. A meeting for those interested in becoming tour guides will take place at the Capitol Lake Visitor Center from 9 a.m. to noon on Thursday, April 6, sponsored by the South Dakota Bureau of Administration and the South Dakota State Historical Society. A short informational meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by people signing up to guide tours in May. Tours usually last an hour and training will be provided.
