Recovery month highlights the societal benefits of prevention, treatment, and recovery from substance abuse and mental disorders. It celebrates people in recovery, lauds the contributions of treatment and service, and provides and promotes the message that recovery in all forms is possible. It spreads the positive message that mental health is essential to overall health, that prevention works, treatment is effective, and people can and do recover successfully with support. Every day and in every community, Americans with substance use disorders commit to managing their recovery from drug or alcohol addiction. These individuals show the strength each of us hold to transform ourselves, our families, our communities. With compassion and respect, the board of directors and entire staff, of CACS supports people struggling to lead healthy and rewarding lifestyles. Those in recovery are not strangers; they are our family, friends, colleagues and neighbors. CACS also pays tribute to the dedicated professionals who, with skill and empathy, guide people in the recovery process. Their message of hope and understanding help those struggling to recognize and face their addiction. With their ongoing support and appropriate treatment, many people are able to live productive, meaningful lives in long-term recovery.
