Effective Communication with Alzheimer's & Dementia Lunch and Learn

Please join us at Edgewood Pierre for "Effective Communication Strategies with Alzheimer's and Dementia" Lunch and Learn event on Friday, May 24th from 12 - 1 pm. There is no cost to attend, and complimentary lunch will be provided. Event speaker will be Kathi Herreid with the South Dakota Alzheimer's Association. The Effective Communication Strategies program was designed to provide practical information and resources to help dementia caregivers learn to decode verbal and behavioral messages from people with dementia. The goals of the program are for participants to better understand the changes in communication that occur with disease progression and how they manifest in the person with dementia and to be able to identify ways to connect at each stage of the disease.
