History and Heritage Book Club

"Dancing with Colonels" by Marjoie Havreberg is the featured selection for the January History and Heritage Book Club. The book is comprised of letters that Havreberg, a South Dakota native, wrote about working for Sen Peter Norbeck in Washington, D.C.in the late 1930s and for the War Department in Tukey during World War II. Guest speaker Sheila Jimenez will join the book club by telephone. Jimenez is a native of South Dakota who is a colonel is the Air National Guard. She has served in Turkey numerous times. She also worked for Sen. Tom Daschle in his Aberdeen and Sioux Falls offices.
