Gregory Bryan will discuss his book "Paul Goble, Storyteller." Goble was an award-winning author and illustrator of more than 40 children's books, many of them retelling the sacred myths and legends of American Indians. Goble was born in England, but lived in the Black Hills from 1977 until his death on Jan. 4. Bryan is a professor of education at the University of Manitoba, specializing in literacy education and children's literature. He will speak to those attending the program by telephone, while a PowerPoint presentation about Goble will be shown. "Paul Goble, Storyteller" and several of Goble's books are available at the Heritage Store at the Cultural Heritage Center.
