Lewis and Clark Expedition member Sg. John Ordway will come to life in a presentation by scholar Arch Ellwein of Sidney, Mont. Ordway was the only member of the expedition to write a journal entry every day of the 1804-1806 journey from St. Louis to the Pacific Coast and back. The program is set in 1813, seven years after the expedition returned, and provides insight into the expedition and its aftermath. The program is made possible by the South Dakota Humanities Council, an affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities. Everyone is welcome to attend this free event.
