
History and Heritage Book Club
Those attending the History and Heritage Book Club will learn about the one of the best Missouri River steamboat pilots, Captain Grant Marsh. The featured book, "The Conquest of the Missouri" by Joseph Mills Hanson, tells about Marsh. Re-enactor Arch Ellwein of Sidney, Mont., will bring Marsh to life. Everyone is welcome. Those who want to eat at the Outpost Lodge before the program may meet at the Cultural Heritage Center at 5:30 p.m. to carpool to the Outpost Lodge. Those who want to attend the program only may meet at the Cultual Heritage Center at 6:40 p.m. to carpool to the Outpost Lodge.
The program is made possible by the South Dakota Humanities Council, an affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
