Hockey "101" Try Hockey For Free
Want to try hockey but aren’t sure where to start? Don’t miss “Hockey 101” with the Oahe Capitals at the ExpoCenter on Saturday, November 2, 2013.
At this FREE special event, we’ll provide skates and some gear for your young skater to try the great sport of hockey. Parents and coaches will be on hand to answer questions about the Oahe Capitals hockey program.
Those interested in getting on the ice should wear sweat pants or loose fitting jeans and a t-shirt under a jacket or sweatshirt. If you have a bicycle helmet, please bring it. For comfort, please wear athletic socks that go past the ankle.
The agenda for "Hockey 101" gives kids the chance to be on the ice while parents learn about the hockey program.
Kid Schedule:
10:30 - Checkout/put on skates and other gear
11:00 - Skating/hockey drills
11:30 - Scrimmage
11:45 - Remove/return gear
Parent Schedule:
10:30 - Help children with skates/gear
11:00 - OHA basics
