Kids To Parks Day 2014

first leg - #12 and #13 in the main campground - Farm Island Recreation Area - Members of the High Plains Wildlife Association will host their 37th Annual Youth Fishing Day. Registration starts at 08:30 AM with a fisheries demonstration beginning at 09:00 AM. Drinks and cookies will be available throughout the event and prizes will be awarded to five age groups. Parents are encouraged to join in!
second leg - Pierre Arboretum - The Pierre Recreation Department, Rawlins Library and the Pierre Arbor Board will have outdoor cooking demonstrations, tree education activities and more.
third leg - Oahe Downstream Recreation Area disc golf course, Powerhouse Alley - Picnic Shelter #1 - Features an introduction and workshop on skills and techniques, plus a round of disc golf. Parents and children are welcome to participate. Disc Golf is one of the fastest growing recreational pursuits in American, so come join us and see what everyone is excited about and best yet it's great exercise.
