Lunch & Learn: Pre-Legislative Tour

David Owen, president and chief lobbyist of the South Dakota Chamber of Commerce & Industry, will be partnering with the Pierre Area Chamber of Commerce before the legislative session to discuss issues relevant to the business community. 

To gain insights on what will be debated and what will be decided, Chamber members are invited to attend. 

Owen stated, "In January, on the second Tuesday (Jan. 14, 2020), the South Dakota Legislature will convene for the 95th Legislative Session. This will be the second round for this group of legislators since the elections of 2018 (with several new appointees) and the last shot at making law before all 105 of them face the voters in November 2020."

He continued, "The South Dakota Chamber of Commerce and Industry will be part of the session every day and will be on the front line, watching out for the best interests of the business community.
