Join us for this after-school Veterans Remembrance program where we'll hear stories about the special meaning and make an arrangement of Remembrance poppies.
Participants will make an arrangement of Remembrance Poppies using muffin papers, pipe cleaners, recycled bottles, and more.
Over 100 Years ago, the National American Legion voted to use the poppy as the official US national emblem of remembrance, Shortly after, other nations adopted the remembrance poppy. Today, millions across the globe wear the red poppy on Armistice Day (November 11) or Memorial Day (last Monday in May)
