The documentary, “Somebodies Daughter,” was created to provide awareness to an underlying issue that has plagued Indigenous communities for decades. This film focuses on families and their heartbreak, as they try to find answers as to why these women and girls’ missing and murder cases are getting lost in the wind. The screening itself takes around 60 minutes and there will also be a few speakers on the topic, focusing on statistics and prevention. We believe this awareness needs to be brought to our area because Pierre lacks the awareness of this. It's not just happening on our reservations but here and all around us.
