Pierre City Commission Candidate Forum
Learn about the candidates running for the Pierre City Commission.
Four candidates are vying for two open seats. Incumbent Commissioner Steve Harding is running for re-election. He is joined in the race by Blake Barringer, Jamie Damon and Anne Lewis. The seats are at-large positions. The two candidates who receive the most votes on June 7 will be elected.
Pierre residents have an opportunity to submit possible questions and issues they would like to have the candidates address at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Pierrecity . They can also bring questions to the chamber by Monday, May 16. The forum committee, with the moderator, will review all submissions to determine questions which will be asked. Those in attendance will also have a chance to submit written questions the night of the forum.
The forum is organized by the Pierre Area Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Committee.
