Pierre Homecoming Parade

Despite the remaining sandbags and levees, the Pierre Riggs High School Homecoming Parade will go on as schedule.

The parade route starts at the Riggs High School parking lot. It is scheduled to go south on Washington Avenue, turning west on Capital Avenue. The route remains on Capital Avenue until turning south on Pierre Street and headed downtown.

The change in the route could come at the end. If the levee by the Pierre Post 8 American Legion Cabin is gone, the route will end at the cabin as usual. If not, the route will turn at Dakota Avenue and end in that area.
