
"Pioneer Girl Perspectives" Book Release
Come celebrate the South Dakota Historical Society's release of its newest book about author Laura Ingalls Wilder, "Pioneer Girl Perspectives." The book features 11 essays from writers across the country commenting on Wilder's life, career and continuing influence. Speakers will be Nancy Tystad Koupal, the editor of "Pioneer Girl Perspectives," and Paula Nelson, who contributed an essay to the book about Wilder as a farm woman and professional writer for the "Missouri Ruralist.". The book will be available on May 18 at the Heritage Stores at the Cultural Heritage Center and the Capitol. Everyone is welcome to attend the free program.
