SD Kids Fishing

Kids interested in fishing are invited to register for the 6th annual South Dakota Kids Fishing Weekend. The event will be based out of Downs Marina on Lake Sharpe June 10th. This event pairs kids with experienced anglers for a three hour trip on the water. There will be one morning and one afternoon session this year. The event is limited to the first 125 kids from K-12 that register by June 1st. The Kids Fishing Weekend was started by avid anglers Doug Iverson and Ken Steiner. It?s completely free, rods, reels, tackle and bait are provided. The kids can also win some great prizes. This event is designed to teach kids about fishing and get them involved in what hopefully will become a lifelong passion. The day will also feature free outdoor activities in Griffin Park from 10 am to 1 PM.
