SD Retailers Association's Labor & Employment Academy
The South Dakota Retailers Association will sponsor a Labor & Employment Academy in Fort Pierre on Wednesday, October 19th. The presenter for this program will be Chris Hoyme, a partner in the nationally-recognized labor law firm of Jackson Lewis LLP. Chris is an outstanding speaker, who will focus on issues such as what can and can't be asked in the hiring process, overtime pay requirements, how to handle employee discipline and termination issues, deductions from wages for items such as breakages and shortages, recordkeeping requirements, an update on the newest regulations from the National Labor Reations Board, and information regarding new federal tip credit requirements.

$20 fee per person for SD Retailers Association members and their employees. The fee for nonmembers is $40 per person. This fee covers the seminar and lunch.
