SDSU Plant Presentations - Free to those interested!
SDSU Staff will present a series of talks on Native Plants; Monarchs and Milkweed; & Permaculture and Food Forests. The 3 individual talks will be separated by a few minutes. Robin Buterbaugh will discuss ways to incorporate native plants into landscaping; Grace Villmow will present her research on monarch butterfly egg-laying preferences on native South Dakota milkweeds and discuss what gardeners can do to provide habitat for native insects in their yards and beyond; Robin Buterbaugh returns to speak about permaculture, food forests, and the benefits of having a food forest in your yard or community. Our Garden Center Staff will be present to show you the native plants and food producing plants that we have available this year.
