
The Dakota Western Heritage Festival/ Don Edwards Concert
A two day free family event to celebrate the West, past & present, through music, cowboy poetry, vendors and demonstrations. There will be a Freedom Stage with regional cowboy poets, featuring South Dakota own award winning poet, Yavonne Hollenbeck, musical entertainment., western arts & crafts and demonstrations of traditional western culture. Held at the Expo Center in Fort Pierre. 10 am to 6 pm, September 14th and 15th.
Each day's events will conclude with a concert by Don Edwards, America's Cowboy Balladeer. Don is a legend in old time cowboy music. The concerts begin at 7:00 p.m. at the Pierre Opera House.
