
Asphalt Tack Truck Driver
Summary: Morris, Inc. is seeking a driven individual to work with the asphalt laydown crew as a tack truck drivers that will be responsible for efficiently operating an asphalt distributor and maintaining an acceptable level of workmanship to support the asphalt paving crews at various job sites including roadways, parking lots, and driveways.to ensure quality work by performing the duties including, but not limited to, those listed below
Requirements:
- Valid commercial driver’s license Class A or Class B, with tanker endorsement
- Previous experience, preferred
- Able to work in a team and follow instructions carefully
- Dependable and ready to work long hours
- Physically capable of performing manual labor and lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Work with Paving Crews, Spray Bituminous Tack-Coat.
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
- Inspect loads to ensure that materials are secure
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
- Report defects, accidents, or violations immediately
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Must be willing to assist crews when necessary
- Assist with maintenance and cleanliness of vehicles when necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
